Ambient offers an umbrella that can tell you when you need to take it along.  The umbrella’s handle contains Ambient’s wireless data-radio that constantly receives information from Accuweather.com. When precipitation is headed your way, the handle will glow and blink with various patterns to let you know if you’ll be getting rain, drizzle, snow, or thunderstorms.  The umbrella canopy is the patented “gust-buster” design to withstand winds without turning inside-out.

How Does This Work?

This weather forecasting umbrella has a LED handle which has a built-in radio receiver that receives weather forecast for 150 U.S. locations from accuweather. As inclement climate approaches this umbrella, the LED light in the handle flashes more and more rapidly to warn you when the weather changes.
